International Society for Ethnology and Folklore (SIEF) International Congress

Based on Dr. Nelson and her ongoing research on water relations in Ceará, Brazil, Cydney Seigerman presented a paper in the session “Drier worlds - living with water scarcity” at the 2019 SIEF International Congress held in Santiago de Compostela (Spain). SIEF brings together ethnographers, anthropologists, and folklorists from around the world in order to promote critical debate, collaboration, and fruitful contributions to scholarship and practice. In addition to presenting her paper, Cydney worked with Dr. Mireia Campanera Reig (Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Spain) as a part of the SIEF Mentorship Program through the Young Scholars Working Group.
